It was great to meet the team at Sutherland Communications Rural Fire Brigade. Thank you to the volunteers at the Brigade, as well as the other emergency services members.

It was great to be joined by Simon Birmingham, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and visit St Thomas Indian Orthodox Cathedral in Moorebank. We were welcomed by Father Thomas and members of the congregation from St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Cathedral Sydney.

It was a privilege to meet with Sam, John and the team from Moxon at Moorebank this week.

The community of Bonnet Bay have been experiencing issues with their NBN connections. This has had an impact on residents and local businesses. I attended a community meeting in Bonnet Bay to listen to the residents of Bonnet Bay and understand how the NBN issues have affected them.

Small business is the backbone of our country. It was a pleasure to be a keynote speaker this morning at the Sutherland Shire Business Chamber's September Business breakfast on Positive Developments around the Sutherland Shire.

As we approach the warmer days of spring and summer, and the 2022/23 Fire Season begins, Engadine Rural Fire Brigade held a brigade open day for the NSW Rural Fire Service’s ‘Get Ready Weekend’.

A condolence book is available at my office for any residents wishing to write a personal message of condolence on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

As your local Member of Parliament, I am pleased to be able to support the terrific work that volunteer groups do to support our local community.

The Volunteer Grants program is to assist volunteers and encourage volunteering.

It was wonderful to have the Hon Sussan Ley MP, Deputy Opposition Leader, here in Hughes.  As the Shadow Minister for Industry, Skills and Training, Small and Family Business, and Women, I had the chance to show her around Hughes and visit a manufacturing business, a small family-owned business and host a women’s roundtable.

I was pleased to be joined in Engadine on Vietnam Veterans Day 2022 by Leader of the Opposition The Hon. Peter Dutton MP. It was here that we heard the stories from our distinguished Vietnam Veterans and provided assurance that Australia is proud and grateful for their service.

The Hughes Federal electorate is home to some of Australia’s innovative business, community oriented organisations and most beautiful scenery our country has to offer.
