Yesterday it was an honour for me to attend the Anzac Day services which were held throughout the Hughes electorate. Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War

The upcoming referendum on the indigenous Voice to Parliament is a major decision. As a constitutional conservative, I view this change cautiously. The referendum seeks to recognize Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution and establish a representative body for them.

I've had a busy start to 2023 as the Federal MP for Hughes. Celebrating national events and engaging with community leaders has been enriching. Addressing rising costs and inflation is a key focus. I'm also working on community projects, including the opening of the Pavilion Performing Arts Centre.

On Australia Day, we reflect on our history and heritage. This day marks 245 years since European settlement and acknowledges our land's indigenous roots. It's a time to remember our nation's spirit and diversity.
