Prince Edward Park Sports Field Improvements
Help fund Prince Edward Park Sports Field improvements!
Prince Edward Park, Woronora has a large foreshore park with boat ramp, playground, picnic facilities and playing fields for soccer and cricket in an attractive setting on the Woronora River. A boardwalk runs over the foreshore beside a swimming area with a sandy "beach". The park also contains a small outdoor fitness gym with bars and benches for simple bodyweight exercises. The field caters to soccer during the winter season and cricket during the summer season.
Upgrades are required for the existing playing fields and include raising the oval, installing new sports lighting, an accessible carpark, amenities, a boardwalk extension and environmental works including saltmarsh planting.
Everyone in our local community deserves the opportunity to use public spaces. That is why I am fighting for improvements to the sports fields at Prince Edward Park to provide modern, safe and accessible facilities to enable our community to be leaders in participation and performance.
With enough community support, we will be able to show the Albanese Labor Government that this is a much-needed project.
