Netball Facilities Upgrade
Help fund upgraded netball facilities at Hammondville Oval!
Hammondville Park is a regional park with a large community sporting club presence located on Heathcote Road, Hammondville. Home to a variety of local sporting clubs, including Moorebank Rams Junior Rugby League Club, Moorebank Sports Netball Club, Moorebank Sports Soccer Club, Moorebank Baseball-Softball Club and Moorebank Cricket Club. Sports played include rugby league, netball, soccer, baseball and cricket. The sporting facilities and clubs located at Hammondville Park remain significant in serving the surrounding communities. Significantly, Liverpool’s two largest sporting clubs, Moorebank Soccer Club and Moorebank Rams Rugby League Football Club are located at Hammondville Park. However, the current layout of Hammondville Oval reflects the design plan established in 1998.
Updates are required to the sports precinct at Hammondville Oval. Funding is required for:
a new amenities facility; and
lighting and CCTV at the Hammondville Oval netball training courts.
That’s why I am fighting for upgrades to the netball facilities at Hammondville Oval, to improve overall inclusivity and support the uptake of netball by women and community members of diverse backgrounds across Liverpool City.
With enough community support, we will be able to show the Albanese Labor Government that this is a much-needed project.
